SignalStar Scalar is the ideal controller for users who do not require all the capability of a full featured controller like the SignalStar Vector. Scalar is available as a smaller system with reduced features for optimum fit with a user’s requirement at the lowest cost. Yet, Scalar offers the same control quality as the high powered Vector because it shares the DSP architecture and control algorithms with SignalStar Vector and Matrix. Scalar is based on the acclaimed SignalStar intuitive graphical user interface but made simpler for the novice user by limiting the parameters to those essential to the control task. Your investment in Scalar is protected against obsolescence. Scalar can be configured to meet your current needs and later upgraded as your requirements increase.

Features

Basic Features:

  • Built-in PC – the ability of work after connecting peripherals (monitor, keyboard and mouse) or using an external PC,
  •  A wide range of software for controlling vibrating systems: sinusoidal vibrations, random, shock, synthesis and analysis of SRS (Shock Response Spectrum), reproduction on a shaker of signals registered in nature (Time Replication),
  • From 2 to 8 voltage input channels,
  • Direct connection of sensors with built-in electronics (IEPE)
  • TEDS function (option) – automatic reading of data from accelerometers such as sensitivity and serial number,
  • Output for controlling shaker, optional COLA output (constant amplitude signal),
  • The possibility of controlling vibration shakers from other manufacturers, also with older models,
  • Option – software for vibration and vibration analysis – this software creates a fully functional digital signal analyzer from the controller – it includes, among others: FFT analysis, Auto and Cross Power Spectrum and many more.

Software: Sine Vibrations

  • Bandwidth, up to 5 kHz (optionally 20 kHz), automatic determination of crossover points,
  • Programmable schedule – possibility of picking up of type of test: sweeping with a progressive speed, dwell, work with different levels, generation of constant frequencies from determined bandwidth,
  • Optional modules: resonance search and dwell and long term exposure in resonance  (Resonance Search, Track and Dwell),
  • Optional module – Limit channels – possibility of programming separate profiles which protects tested object.
